As part of our exciting growth trajectory, we are expanding our team in Finland and are now looking for Data Center Electrical Manager.

The Data Center Electrical Manager is responsible for overseeing all electrical systems and operations within the datacenter facility. This role involves ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical infrastructure to support continuous operations and meet the needs of clients and tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Systems Management:

  • Participate to the design work, and oversee the installation, and maintenance of electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, generators, and switchgear.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.

Fault Diagnosis and Resolution:

  • Organize the monitoring of electrical systems for faults, anomalies, and performance issues.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve electrical problems promptly.
  • Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.

Capacity Planning and Expansion:

  • Assess electrical capacity and demand requirements to support current and future datacenter operations.
  • Collaborate with facilities and engineering teams to plan and execute electrical infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
  • Ensure scalability and redundancy of electrical systems to accommodate growth and maintain high availability.

Emergency Preparedness and Response:

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans for electrical failures or outages.
  • Conduct regular drills and exercises to test emergency procedures and readiness.
  • Coordinate with security and operations teams to ensure a swift and effective response to electrical emergencies.

Vendor Management and Procurement:

  • Identify and evaluate electrical equipment vendors and contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements for procurement of electrical materials and services.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical systems, including schematics, diagrams, and maintenance records.
  • Prepare regular reports on electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and management regarding electrical infrastructure status and issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional qualification S1 to work as an electrical work supervisor and supervisor of operations in all electrical and operational work.
  • Several years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a datacenter or mission-critical facility environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., STS 6000, IEEE).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
  • Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in English speaking environment.
  • Proven project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
