Colocation Customer Project Manager

Verne are seeking an experienced and dynamic Colocation Customer Project Manager to join our team in Finland.

As part of our exciting growth trajectory, we are expanding our team in Finland and are now looking for Colocation Customer Project Manager.

The Colocation Customer Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for managing and coordinating the implementation of customer projects within a co-location facility. This role ensures that all customer requirements are met with precision, and projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The CPM serves as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle and collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop detailed project plans outlining the scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, operations, and sales to align on project requirements and deliverables.
  • Schedule and lead project meetings with customers and internal stakeholders to track progress and address any issues.

Customer Engagement:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers during the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure clear and regular communication with customers regarding project status, milestones, and any changes.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns and escalations promptly.

Implementation and Execution:

  • Oversee the physical installation of customer equipment within the co-location facility.
  • Ensure all technical and security requirements are met.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful delivery.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and key metrics.

Post-Implementation Support:

  • Ensure a smooth transition from project completion to operational support.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and implement improvements for future projects.

Processes and tools development:

  • Develop internal processes and tools to optimize workflows and make the work more efficient.
  • Participate in global development projects and a subject matter expert.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within the IT, telecommunications, or datacenter industry.
  • Proven experience managing complex customer projects, particularly within co-location or datacenter environments.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management and co-location management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana, ServiceNOW, DCIM).
  • Understanding of datacenter operations, infrastructure, and customer equipment installation is highly desirable.

Working Conditions:
This position may require occasional travel to customer sites or other datacenter locations. The selected person must be able to work in a datacenter environment which includes exposure to noise, cooling systems, and physical infrastructure.
